Top Ten Tuesday - Top Ten Authors That I'd Put On My Auto-Buy List

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This weeks theme is my Top Ten Authors That I'd Put On My Auto-Buy List (basically an auto-buy list is no questions asked..you love this author so much that no matter what they wrote next you'd buy regardless of genre or subject matter). So here is my Top Ten, if I had all the money in the world, in no particular order:

1. Elizabeth Sharp - She is a new author to me. I just read her Forces of Nature series last year. They were well written, grabbed my attention, and left me wanting more.

2. LK Rigel - After reading Bride of Fae I knew I was hooked on LK Rigel. She would have a permanent spot on my Auto-Buy list.

3. Alyssa Rose Ivy - I loved her first two books in The Afterglow Trilogy, and her book, Veer, is amazing. I have her Crescent Chronicles on my wish list. Her books easily take me into another world, and I love that.

4. Tawdra Kandle - The King Series is an amazing series. Tawdra Kandle has been a new favorite of mine since I first read Fearless.

5. James Patterson - I love everything about James Patterson. I may not be able to buy ever one of his books (he has so many!!), but they all go into my wish list. He is so amazing. His books are thrilling and full of action. Patterson has been a favorite of mine for a very long time now. I love his Alex Cross series and his Maximum Ride series the most.

6. Jolene B. Perry - Jolene Perry is a recent favorite, but every book of hers I have read has been so perfect. Her characters are full of depth, and her story lines deal with hard issues.

7. Shadow Stephens - I loved Legion of Bats so much! Broken Butterflies was really good, too. I haven't read The 13th yet, but I own it. If it is anything like her first two I expect to love it.

8. K.A. Linde - Her Avoiding Series has me hooked on her. She is so talented, and I can't wait to see what else she will do. I know I'll buy anything she puts out.

9. Melissa McPhail - I don't read a lot of Epics, but Melissa McPhail got me so hooked on Cephrael's Hand. I wouldn't think twice about buying any book she put out.

10. S.C. Stephens - I already buy every book S.C. Stephens comes out with. I have read almost all of them (Conversion: Next Generation is in my TBR), and I cannot wait for her newest release. I haven't read one book of hers that I didn't love.

11. Nicky Charles - I automatically get all of Nicky Charles' books. They are free, so I suppose it is cheating to put them on here... But I would get them all even if she charged. Nicky Charles is insanely talented and her lycans are hot!

Ok, so I have 11. Sometimes it's too hard to get it down to ten. Let me know who would be on your Auto-Buy list. Leave a link to your Top Ten in the comments and I'll stop by!

Grounded by G.P. Ching - Book Blast and Giveaway

GroundedGrounded

"All my life I've worked to be simple, but I can't pretend anymore. Nothing about me is simple." In the year 2050, a secret government study nicknamed Operation Source Code injects eight volunteers with a retrovirus. The goal? To abate the energy crisis by reprogramming human DNA to power personal electronic devices. The experiment works but with disastrous consequences. Seventeen years later, Lydia Troyer is far from concerned with the energy crisis. Growing up in the isolated community of Hemlock Hollow, life hasn't changed much since 1698 when her Amish ancestors came to America. She milks her cow by hand, makes fresh bread every morning, and hopes to be courted by Jeremiah, the boy who's been her best friend since she could walk. But when Lydia's father has a stroke and is taken to the outside world for medical treatment, Lydia and Jeremiah leave Hemlock Hollow. An ordinary light switch thrusts Lydia into a new world where energy is a coveted commodity and her own personal history makes her the most sought-after weapon on the planet. "I am seriously impressed with how the author took the simplistic Amish life and combined it with a futuristic, almost dystopian story line as seamlessly as she did. I highly recommend it." Crafty Cauldron

"I am also a sucker for Amish stories, and love the idea of the new paranormal/supernatural/dystopian twists using them. This book is electric. You are pulled into Lydia's story and keep on reading, trying to find out what happens next.I tried to figure out what I would do if I were in her situation. I am impressed by the strength she is able to find within herself." Andi's Young Adult blog

"I never know what to think when I start reading a book by a new author. But this one was electrifying!!! his book had me on the edge of my seat all the way to the last page. " Taking Time for Mommy

"It begins with the perfect bang, and lights up your mind in ways you may not have thought. As much as it is dystopian it is speculative, and I am all for challenging the minds of the human race." Literary Sweet

"The characters were so well written that I felt like I knew them. Lydia stayed true to who she was and her personality even when she had to make decisions that were not at all what an Amish would have ever imagine anyone would have to make." Delphina Reads too Much

Literary Addicts Meme - Stalker Day!

The theme of this week is Stalker Day!

Pick your favorite author that you love to stalk and just can’t get enough of!

Join our group HERE to find out next week’s theme!

Wow, I have to try and narrow this down to just one author! I won't lie, I am a serial author stalker. The list of authors is long and a bit mixed. Any time a book catches my attention I start searching for any other books by that author. I look at their Amazon page, read their blog if they have one, "like" their Facebook page, subscribe to their newsletter, ect. You get the picture, right?

So, if I am picking just one author... S.C. Stephens. She is an amazing author. I started with her Conversion series, since I was on a serious paranormal romance kick. Her books were free then, so I grabbed all the ones she had available. I loved her vampires (or a "little bit" vampires). Then I moved on to loving Collision Course and It's All Relative. I didn't think she could top Teren or Kai, but I gave her the benefit of a doubt and moved on to Thoughtless.

Enter Kellan Kyle and, yeah, Stephens totally outdid herself. From Thoughtless to Effortless, I loved Kellan and Kiera's story, loved the D-Bags, loved the drama, the romance, the lies. Now I am waiting for Effortless, the third book in Kellan and Kiera's story. Stephens is sneaky, releasing a playlist, pictures, quotes, and excerpts that have caused some serious speculation about the couple's status through the book. March 5th cannot get here soon enough!

Stephens is humble in her success. Quick to thank anyone who recognizes her talent as an author, and she always seems surprised at how many people love her work. She is also always promoting other authors to her readers. Thanks to her I found K.A. Linde and Jamie McGuire.

S.C. Stephens' Links

Authors who deserve an honorable mentions, because I stalk the crap out of them, too. Nicky Charles, K.A. Linde, Jamie McGuire, Evangeline Anderson, J. Meyers, Jolene Perry, Shadow Stephens, Aubrie Dionne, Melissa McPhail, and James Patterson. There are more, but we'd be here a while.
