Taming the Wolf by Stephanie Nelson - Review

Title: Taming the Wolf
Author: Stephanie Nelson

Synopsis: Attacked by a wolf while hiking in the mountains, Anna Avery's life just got a little hairier. Living in the Big Horn mountains in Wyoming, with a group of werewolves who are more animal than human, Anna must try to hold onto her human side. It's not easy when the alpha continues to persuade her into his bed, while another wolf is chomping at the bit to become her mate. To top it all off, dead bodies are showing up and it just so happens that Anna was the last to see them alive. She'll have to work to prove her innocence and taming the wolf who bites first and asks questions never. This book is not intended for readers under 18.

My Thoughts: Taming the Wolf is full of mystery, adventure, and love. I had a lot of fun reading it. Anna is the low wolf on the totem pole since she is new to the pack. She is stuck doing the grunt work others don't want to do. Her wolf is accepting of her new life and of the her Alpha's control, but Anna is struggling with her human side. Her internal conflict with doing what she is told and following her wolf's sexual desires is very interesting. I think that Stephanie Nelson did a great job of showing it.

Anna's struggle over her feelings for Alpha, Adam, is interesting. No matter what her wolf is telling her, her human side has problems with Adam since he is already with another wolf, Eve. Then add in that people keep showing up dead and Anna is being accused of the crimes. Taming the Wolf was fast paced and there was never a dull moment for me. I am very excited for the next book in the Anna Avery Series.
