Forget Me Not by Belinda Boring - Review

Title: Forget Me Not
Author: Belinda Boring
Series: The Mystic Wolves Series Book Two
Publish Date: May 20, 2012

Synopsis:  Only a fool would think they could steal from a werewolf … Anticipating a quiet night alone with the man she loves, Darcy’s world is sent into a spin with the arrival of someone from the past—Mason’s. She is further shocked by the intruder’s claim she may not even be the true mate of the Mystic Wolves Alpha. Accusations start to fly, leading to her new enemy being granted asylum, and this is just the beginning of trouble. Relying on the reassurances of Mason and the support of her friends and Pack, Darcy soon falls under attack. Suspicions are raised, and with no other choice, she must flee with Devlin to safety where hopefully they can untangle the lies hidden behind the use of magic. Time is quickly ticking away, leading to a showdown where everything is on the line. They need to uncover the truth before it’s too late, or once again, Darcy will need to fight to hold onto her dreams.

My Thoughts: I read both Forget Me Not, and the first book in this series, The Mystic Wolves. I love paranormal romance so I was pretty excited to read these books. I suppose some people may think that werewolves and vampires have been overdone lately. I am not one of those people. I think that the amount of creativity it takes for the authors to continue to bring something original to the genre is amazing. Belinda Boring did a great job of creating the world for the Mystic Wolves and I am so happy that I have found it.

There are so many well defined characters in this book. Boring did not just focus on Darcy and Mason as the main characters. From Darcy's point of view we get to learn so much about her fellow pack mates Daniel, her vampire friend Devlin and his nephew Vlad, and we learn about our villain, Amber. I absolutely love Daniel's personality. He is so much fun, but he is also very loyal. I also enjoyed learning more about Devlin in this second book. I can't wait to learn more about him in the next book. Vlad's part in this book really made me laugh. I know I'm concentrating a lot on the secondary characters, but Darcy and Mason's stories are told just as beautifully. Their love story is so sweet and I had fun reading it.

The plot in Forget Me Not is really great. It is fast paced and keeps you guessing. I didn't want to put down this book even for a second. The glimpses we get of Devlin's home, the packs land, and the Council are all really great. Boring has a very descriptive writing style that I love. My only issue...What a cliff hanger!! I am going to be going crazy waiting for the third book in this series. Lets hope Belinda Boring writes fast!
