Top Ten Tuesday - Top Ten Bookish People You Want To Meet
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly book meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. I slacked off again, but here are the Top Ten Bookish People I Want To Meet.
1. R.L. Stine - There is no doubt in my mind that if I could meet him I would. Some of the first books I ever read were the Goosebumps books. I had the entire series once. He is a great writer. His books helped me create the crazy worlds in the stories I made up for my cousins when I was little.
2. Laura Ingalls Wilder - I know she isn't alive, but I loved her books. They are another series that I loved when I was growing up.
3. James Patterson - I started reading his Alex Cross series and fell in love with his writing. Maximum Ride, Women's Murder Club, and his newest book The Zoo have all drawn me in. I think he is an amazing author, and if he ever comes near my home I'll be begging for a signature.
4. Stephen King - He is brilliant. His books bring out everything scary, and I love that. He must have the greatest imagination. I would love to meet him.
5. JK Rowling - I would love to meet her!! She is so talented, and I can't wait for what she plans to write next.
6. Jean Craigehead George - Her books are amazing. I love all the Julie books, and the My Side of the Mountain books, too. I would have loved to have met her.
7. Gary Paulsen - He is yet another favorite author from my childhood. His Brian series was so great. I read them constantly.
8. S.C. Stephens - I love her books. She has so much talent, and I love that she started out as an independent author! I spread the word about her books everywhere. I hope that one day she does a book tour and makes her way south. I'll be lined up to meet her!
9. Nicky Charles - Another amazing independent author. Her books are so great and they are free on Barnes & Noble (hint hint). I would line up to meet her, too.
So...I have 9. I'm sure there are more, but these are who I came up with. These are probably 9 of my most favorite authors, and I would absolutely love meeting any one of them. Of course if I did I probably wouldn't know what to say, but still it would be really amazing! Which authors would you love to meet? Let me know in the comments below.

King would make my list too! I literally grew up reading his books.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I actually haven't read any Stine, King or Patterson. I will go hang my head in shame now. But I do imagine that they would be quite interesting to listen to.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!
YES! Another R.L. Stine person! I loved the Goosebump books when I was little. Here’s my TTT: http://whatsontheshelf.wordpress.com/2012/09/04/top-ten-tuesday-21/
ReplyDeleteI was seriously considering putting RL Stine on my list as well, but in the end I added Louis Sachar. Love RL, though. The Goosebumps series was a huge part of my childhood, and I was a Fearstreet fan as well.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to meet RL Stine too! He didn't come to me, but he'd be a great one to meet. I grew up more with Fear Street than Goosebumps, but love him so much!
